Chongqing Plans to Manufacture Luxury Cruise Ships

Chongqing is planning to build 10 luxurious cruise ships. Helicopter parking and golf playing are available on these ships.

According to Chongqing Communication Travel Group, they plan to invest 2 billion RMB in building 10 luxurious cruise ships substantially during 2010 - 2012. The 10 luxurious cruise ships will be the most luxurious, most comfortable and the biggest ships on the inland rivers of the world. One of the ships named Yangtze Gold One will make its first trip on May first this year. This ship is the most luxurious one on Yangtze River so far, both helicopter parking and golf playing are available.

For the moment, Yangtze Gold One is under building in Chongqing Dongfeng Shipyard. This ship is 136 meters long, 19.6 meters wide, and it is 11 thousand ton class. It has six floors and 161 guestrooms. It can carry 355 passengers at its most. According to the design picture, it just likes a Five-star hotel floating on the river.

Complete Entertainment and Recreation Facilities

It has a complete entertainment and recreation facilities: large cabins with balconies (from which you can enjoy the beautiful scenery), executive floors, presidential suits, business street, snack bar, cigar bar, internet office, book bar, children's park, sauna center, Chinese and west clinic, hydropathic establishment, revolving hall, multifunctional hall, helipad, open air swimming pool, small-sized golf, big theatre and cinema, conference rooms with simultaneous interpretation, and 4 scenic elevators.

The Chongqing Travel Communication Group said that Yangtze Gold One is the first one to make the helicopter parking available among the ships on the inland rivers. If the passenger has his own helicopter, he can park on the ship directly.

Top-level Noise Reduction Facility

Once, the cruise ships on the inland rivers made in China always have a problem of high noise and vibration. Though those ships have been positioned as luxurious cruise ships, there is a certain gap in this aspect when they are compared with the same types abroad.

To ensure the comfort of the ship, Chongqing Travel Group invested extra 20 million RMB in the building of the ship. They required using the top-level accessories to equip the noise reduction facility and the environmental protection facility.

The sound of the ships on the inland rivers is always above 65 decibels. Through the introducing of the advanced technology from Germany and the noise reduction technology, Yangtze Gold One can lower its sound to 45 decibels in the public area, about 40 decibels in the guestroom, and this sound is even lower than the general air-conditioners.
