A World Heritage Site, Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain) is one of China's most famous mountain ranges, located in Anhui Province. Huangshan Mountain has greatly influenced traditional Chinese landscape painting. It has attracted many scholars and historical figures came here for the scenery here inspired many great painters in history.

Pine trees are one of the "Four Splendors" of Huangshan Mountain. Almost every rock has a pine tree growing out of its crevice. Another splendor of the Huangshan Mountain is the strange rock formations. These rocks have inspiring names such as Monkey Gazing at the Sea, Squirrel Leaping up to the Peak and the Rock of Flower From Afar. Huangshan Mountain's "Sea of Clouds" provides a splendid view. Huangshan is enveloped by fog and clouds most of the year. Looking above, the clouds drifting around the mountain resemble a still sea which rolls and tosses, showing and hiding the beautiful peaks now and then.

Jiuhuashan Mountain is located in south central Anhui Province. Jiuhuashan Mountain is one of the four sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism. The one hundred square kilometer area is known for its quiet beauty, which includes ridges and peaks, winding paths, fountains, pine trees, waterfalls and streams, as well as ancient temples. With a favorable climate, it is a popular summer resort. Observation Buddhist pilgrims come here to climb to Greater Tiantai peak, regarded as Jiuhuashan Mountain's most important peak, although not the tallest. Through the centuries, the mountain has attracted men of arts and letters. The construction of temples began in the Tang Dynasty and was enlarged in subsequent dynasties. "Huangcheng Temple" is the oldest one on the mountain. By the mid to late Tang Dynasty, there were hundreds of monasteries and thousands of monks living here. The Buddhist influences still remains throughout this area.
