Eight Sceneries of Wushan

Ning-He-Wan-Du

Ning-He-Wan-Du (Paddling in Daning River during twilight). It is about one mile from Elephant Trunk Hill. The green and clear water of Daning River slowly into the Yangtze River. Every sunset, when the sunshine scattering on the river with the misty, the gurgling of the peddles and singing of the people on the ferry. What a beautiful image!

Qing-Xi-Yu-Diao

Qing-Xi-Yu-Diao means to fish in the Qing Stream. 10 miles from the south of Wushan County there is Qing-Xi. It is a stream flows into the Yangtze River. On the stream sides, there are green bamboos, stone bridge and running water, thus the environment is very quiet which perfect for fishing.

Yang-Tai-Mu-Yu

Yang-Tai-Mu-Yu represents the sight of sunset rains. It is located in west of Wushan County, it is the ancient site of Chuyang Platform.

Nan-Ling-Chun-Xiao

Nanling Mountain is opposite to the Wushan County, steep and lofty, with lush vegetations on it. On the top of the mountain there is Nanling Taoist Temple. Every spring, the peach blossoms and pear blossoms come out, waterfalls and turbulent compose a wonderful spring image. The most interesting place is Nanling Rooster, it cook the dole doo the earliest than other roosters. As if the beautiful spring come from Nanling.

Xi-Xia-Wan-Zhao

In sunset, light is blocked in most parts of Wushan County. But only in a stone slot of YangLiu Ping, you can see a red line seems injecting from the stone. The luxuriant with the rays of evening sunlight looks very lovely.

Cheng-Tan-Qiu-Yue

There is a deep pool on the east bank of Ewu Stream (Daning River) on Konghou Bay. The lake water is thousand feet deep and limpid. Every fall, with the moonlight, the lake is particularly bright.

Xiu-Feng-Chan-Sha

Xiufeng Temple stands on the Wufeng Mountain, 5 li (2.5 lilometers) away from the northeast of Wushan County. On the mountain there are palaces which surrounded by the cypressess , pines and mist.

Nu-Guan-Zhen-Shi

Nu-Guan-Zhen-Shi is a famous stone on the Nuguan Mountain, four li (two kilometers) away from the northeast of Wushan County. There is a stone stands on the mountain in the shape of human. According to the legend, once there was a woman, his husband was a government official. The woman climb up the mountain to see his husband back or not and suddenly became a stone, hence the name Wangfu Stone.
