Huangxian Cave - Origin

Huangxian Cave, also Gold Cave, is the key attraction of scenic spots in Dahong Mountain. It lies at the southern foot of Dahong Mountain in Zhongxiang, about 66 kilometers away from Yingzhong Town. In the fifth volume of "Dahong shan zhi", there is a recording: the cave is in the mountain; it is said that Mr. Huangshi rested here, which the name originated from.

Huangxian Cave - Introduction

The historical material recorded that: Huangxian Mountain is at the southern foot of the mountain, below which there is a spacious Huangxian Cave and a deep pool. Huangxian Cave faces the northwest, about 2000 meters long. The height of the entrance is about 200 meters, its width about 70 meters. Inside, the cave is bending, stretching, and undulating. There are abundant limestones. After the corrosion of the natural water and groundwater, and also long time's geologic development, the odd cave and stone forest, and the abundant karst landscape formed. And people can see stalactites here and there, which have variety of forms, such as the lithostyle, stone spear, stalagmite, stalagnate, torreon, sheet and stone waterfall, with the color of red, yellow, white and brown. It is like jade and jadeite, very attractive. It has gorgeous colors. It is also complicated and confusing. It has vast momentum and glorious sight.
