Iron Coffin Gorge

There is a long golden shining rock on the cliff of the eastern bank. It looks like a huge dragon which returned from the outside world. On the opposite side, there is a karst cave on the mountainside. At the mouth of the cave there is a round yellow stone as if a tiger walking out the cave. On the western bank there are many stalactites hanging upside down on the cliff resemble two horse going forward together, but their horsetails and legs still outside the cave. Besides, people found a black suspending coffin on the eastern bank, 5 meters above the water, people called it Iron Coffin. According to the ancient materials, Iron Coffin is Ba people's suspending coffin, it wasn't made of iron and it was named after its black color. Jingzhou Dam, in the northeast of Wuxi County,  there are about 24 most well preserved black coffins.

Passed Longmen Gorge, it is the famous rapids Yinwo Beach. Cruising for a while, then you would arrive at Iron Coffin Gorge. The gorge stretches over 10 kilometers. There are grotesque rocks look like a group of natural sculptures on both banks of the river.
