One Ticket Can Visit Three Gorges Dam, Shennongjia and Wudang Mountain

In December 7th, the "one river and two mountains ecological and cultural tourism cooperation organization" was set up in Yichang County. Three Gorges Dam, Wudang Mountain and Shennongjia can share tourism resource and enlarge the market capacity by publishing tourism set tickets and other forms.

This action was aimed to change the situation of the three places that each of them owns top-grade tourism resource, but the market was not as well as the tourism resource. Based on the standard in tourism, the top-grade market should receive over 5 millions visitors every year, the second grade market should receive 3 millions to 5 millions visitors, and third grade market less than 3 millions visitors. Tourism in one river and two mountains owns its unique features: giant project, good ecological and with distinctive Taoism culture characteristics. But the annual capacity of them is less than 3 millions.

In 2008, they ever tried to cooperate. As for the difference on interest demand, the cooperation didn't last long. Now, they have realized that only to combine the complementary tourism resources and sell them together, then it can affect the consumer group.

All parts of the organization decided to set up a secretariat, and the Three Gorges Tourism Development Limited Liability Company as the first sectary general unit. Recently, they will carry out one ticket to visit "one river and two mountains" and practice discount price in off season and peak season. Furthermore, they will recommend new tourism products, and popularize them in customer markets.
