Peach Blossom Village Scenic Area - Nanjin Pass

Peach Blossom Village Scenic Area is located in Nanjinguan, Xiling Gorge, Yichang City. It is adjacent to the White Horse Cave and just opposite to the Gezhouba Dam and Three Visitors Cave.

According to the legend, in the middle of Western Han Dynasty, a country girl---Wang Zhaojun inducted to the imperial harem, when she was passing Yiling by the dragon boat, she once lingered here. Thus, people called the place Zhaojun Park. The scenic area surrounded with the beautiful lake and hills, there are 23 scenic spots, for instance, the dragon and phoenix boat, Zhaojun pool, Fountain sound, Zhaojun dock, Longevity monument and homesickness bridges. When the peach blossoms come out, it is a great joy to visit Peach Blossoms Village, enjoying the sight of peach blossoms, exploring the mystery of "Shiqu", gazing at the Xiling Gorge and the dam, boating on the Yangtze River.

Formerly known as Taoyuanping - the current name Shiwai Taoyuan (Shangri-La), covering 123 acres with 47 kinds of peach blossoms, including Hongbi Peach, Baibi Peach and Shajinbi Peach which are rarely be seen at home and abroad. Because of the different production period, the flowering phase is different. The wild peach blossoms come out first and then the self-product peach, Guo Peach and Guanhua Peach.
